Wyre Forest Leisure Centre

We were appointed as part of PfP Leisure Management’s team in their winning competition bid to Design, Build, Operate and Maintain Wyre Forest District Council’s new Leisure Centre, replacing the existing Glades Leisure Centre.

The new Leisure Centre is a focal point in the centre of the new residential and employment developments on the site of the Former Bristish Sugar Corporation factory at Silverwoods.

Facilities provided in the new Leisure Centre include a 6-lane 25m swimming pool with spectator seating for 50 people, 15m x 10m learner pool with moveable floor and poolside viewing, sauna and steam room, 6-court sports hall, 100-station fitness gym and group cycling studio, 2 studios, climbing wall, children’s adventure play and café.
The site was sensitively designed in response to reptile habitats and foraging bats along the adjacent Severn Valley Railway and include a 180 space car park, coach drop-off and 6 floodlit, all-weather football pitches, including a U9 / U10 7-a-side pitch to the Football Association guidance.

The centre has achieved a ‘Very Good’ BREEAM rating.
