Further/Higher Education
The Education sector is a highly significant area for Roberts Limbrick. We have increasingly found projects within this sector to be amongst the most architecturally rewarding of our work. Our success is founded upon an enthusiasm for working in this sector, coupled with a desire to make a difference by delivering flexible and usable buildings that are based on a thorough understanding of the brief and completed on time and budget.
Our recent competitive successes together with the recognition gained by some of our recently completed projects encourage us that our approach is delivering the right results.
Talking and Listening
For us, every project starts by talking and listening to the
potential 'end users' of our buildings. We enjoy the opportunity
this provides to interact with our 'clients' using a variety of
techniques and experience to develop a brief and design
solution that achieves a sense of ownership by those that live,
work and play in the buildings we are involved in.
Knowledge
We continue to invest significant time and resources to
develop our services and knowledge across the Education
sector. We are members of the BSCE and regularly attend conferences and seminars to ensure we are up to date with
current thinking and best practice. We are also experienced
in pupil / stakeholder workshops (in particular the School
Works approach) and are fully conversant with all of the
current legislation and non-statutory requirement, such as
relevant DfES Building Bulletins and Sport England Guidance
Notes.
Sustainability
We believe that Schools have a vital role to play in developing
environmental awareness in pupils and the wider community.
School buildings should compliment and support this by
demonstrating how sustainability can be put into practice in
exciting, measurable and cost effective ways.
