We were appointed to design a new community hospital in Dursley for NHS Gloucestershire.
The challenge
The community hospital was developed on a brownfield site as a two-storey building with a centralised courtyard. It comprises a modern entrance area leading to the outpatient and dental department, therapies unit, minor injuries unit and radiology department at ground floor and a 20 bed in-patient department on the first floor. The project achieved BREEAM ‘Excellent’.
