The Community Hospital in Dursley was developed on a brownfield site as a two storey building with a centralised courtyard. The hospital comprises an entrance area leading to the out-patient and dental department, therapies unit, minor injuries unit and radiology department at ground floor and a 20 bed in-patient department at first floor.
The building was designed in parallel with the launch of HBN11, whilst meeting challenging budgetary, programming and NHS stakeholder requirements.
The project achieved BREEAM 'Excellent'.
