Transformation for reinvigorated life in the 21st century, whilst clearly respecting the heritage of the past

The main Grade II listed Gloucester Library, largely constructed at the end of the 19th century as a memorial to Queen Victoria, was long overdue for a refurbishment, having suffered from unsympathetic alterations in the 1960's and 1980's.

The internal rearrangements, opening up more of the building for public use, have really brought the building back to life, completing a transformation for reinvigorated life in the 21st century, whilst clearly respecting the heritage of the past.
